Case Study 01 · Custody Guidance
Challenge
A Thai mother and a foreign father living separately in Chiang Mai needed a care arrangement for their two young children. Neither wanted a court dispute, but they could not agree on a structure. Both were anxious about what a formal process might mean.
Approach
After separate initial meetings, we arranged a structured conversation with both parents present. We explained the legal position in Thai and English, outlined what Thai family courts typically consider, and helped them develop a shared care plan built around the children's school schedule and relationships.
Outcome
A written care arrangement was agreed in six weeks without proceedings. The document was registered formally. Eighteen months later, the arrangement remains in place without dispute.

Case Study 02 · Full Matter Support
Challenge
A British national had lived in Chiang Mai for several years with his Thai partner and their son. The relationship had ended and the mother intended to relocate with the child. The father needed representation to ensure his continued involvement in his son's life was protected.
Approach
We represented the father in negotiations, drawing on Thai family law provisions for parental rights and the child's established relationships. We also addressed the cross-border aspects clearly and helped prepare documentation that was formally recognised.
